Danny Giovale is an outdoor enthusiast born and raised in Flagstaff, AZ. The Flagstaff area and communities have inspired his work and sense of stewardship for this unique and valuable place. Danny founded Kahtoola in 1999 to design and manufacture outdoor equipment and develop a socially responsible company.  Kahtoola currently ships winter traction products to many places around the world and contributes to social causes worldwide.  

 

Danny's background includes starting his company in a garage, raising a family, supporting a variety of community initiatives, and promoting environmental conservation. He has a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Westminster College of Salt Lake City (where his first garage was). He is president of Kahtoola, and Vice President of both Friends of Camp Colton and GeoFamily Foundation. He is also a supporter of several local and national non-profit conservation organizations. 

 

Danny lives in Flagstaff with his beautiful wife and lovely twin daughters.
