Anthony “Tony” Pelaez isn’t your ordinary STEM leader—he’s a passionate champion with a talent for creating experiences that ignite curiosity and drive innovation. As the founding Executive Director of the Meteor Crater Education Alliance (MCEA), Anthony is developing programs and forging partnerships to inspire the next generation of STEM pioneers in Northern Arizona. Through field adventures at the Meteor Crater, outreach programs, and interactive exhibitions, he is laying the groundwork to turn awe into action, preparing students and educators to explore the frontiers of science, technology, engineering, and math.

With over two decades of experience designing exhibitions and educational programs in science museums — from dinosaur exhibitions to a NASA lunar base simulation — and directing one of the largest science and technology camps in the U.S., Anthony has redefined how we engage with science. His work has spanned continents and disciplines, from orchestrating World Bank projects in South America to coordinating technology studios for teens across Europe, Asia, and North America.

Born in Queens and raised across the United States, Anthony brings a lifelong passion for science and storytelling to his role. When he’s not designing the future of STEM education, you might find him hiking with his family, exploring museums, or cheering on his beloved Newcastle United Football Club.

Under Anthony’s leadership, MCEA continues to expand its reach, ensuring that the "Wow Factor" of Meteor Crater doesn’t just stop at the rim—it launches careers, builds communities, and inspires the dreamers and doers of tomorrow.
