Amy Kerr
Plant Manager, Nestle Purina
Amy was born and raised in a small rural farming community in Illinois. She worked for her mother in her restaurant from the age of 14 to 21. As an undergrad, she attended Western Illinois University and received a Bachelors in Business majoring in Accounting. In 1998, Amy took a semester off her Junior year of college and joined the Army National Guard. In 2000, she joined Ralston Purina PetCare as an accounting management trainee. In 2001, she was transferred to Oklahoma City as Assistant Accounting Manager to cover for the Materials Accounting Manager who was going out on maternity leave. She then requested to be moved into line management and took a demotion in 2002 to become a production assistant and go back through the training program. After which she then became Assist. Production Manager in 2003 and was promoted back to Davenport as Pet Treats Production Manager in October of 2004. She worked in that position for approximately a year and three months and went back to Oklahoma as Dry Pet Production Manager in February of 2006.
After holding that job for 5 years, she was transferred back to Davenport in May of 2011 as Manager of Manufacturing Operations. She held that position (assistant Plant Manager) for approximately a year and a half and then was transferred to Flagstaff as Plant Manager in March of 2013.
Amy and her husband, Andy, have two children, Dilynn, 9, and Paxton, 3. They are loving the Flagstaff area and are enjoying working with the Flagstaff team.
