Dr. Amanda Bosh
Executive Director,
Lowell Observatory

Amanda Bosh is the Executive Director of Lowell Observatory. She has a lifelong commitment to teaching, mentoring, and helping others to succeed, and is happy that she gets to incorporate all of these in her current role. Amanda has a Ph.D. in Planetary Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She started as an engineering major, but several nights at telescopes (including at Lowell Observatory!) and a flight aboard the Kuiper Airborne Observatory eventually convinced her to focus on astronomy and planetary science.
Prior to her current role, Amanda was the Chief Operating Officer at Lowell, and has also been a Senior Lecturer at MIT, as well as a Professor of Physics at Hofstra University. Amanda has served on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations, and volunteers wherever there are cats in need. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, photography, playing board games, travel, and good food (but not cooking).
