Board of Directors

Kerry Blume has dedicated her life to nonprofit leadership. For more than 30 years, she worked to change community conditions for the better, particularly for women, children and senior citizens. As President and CEO of United Way of Northern Arizona, Blume honed her leadership skills by moving the organization through significant growth and transformation from 1998-2013. The organization grew in both scope and size by committing to a targeted agenda for improving community outcomes in education, income and health. At a national level, Kerry advanced the successful development of the United Way system through her leadership on the United Way Worldwide strategic planning task force and the Inclusion Council. Prior to coming to Arizona Kerry specialized in work with philanthropic foundations in California focusing on healthcare.

 

Kerry launched her consulting career drawing on her successful experiences leading non-profit organizations. She works with leaders, organizations and communities to build vibrant futures. Kerry uses a strength-based and systems-oriented perspective to assist non-profit, government, and community groups through coaching, facilitation and strategic guidance.

 

Kerry serves on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Town Hall, Planned Parenthood of Arizona and Flagstaff Forty.  She holds a B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Sonoma; an M.S. in Education from California State University, Sacramento; and an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Northern Arizona University, which was awarded in recognition of her distinguished career and contribution to education and the community.
